Welcome to JOD Knits. My Snoods and Beanies are handmade with love using Tasmanian grown merino wool sourced from the property Elsdon in Perth, Tasmania. The wool is then washed and scoured in Geelong and processed at the Nundle Woollen Mill to be returned to Tasmania to make my knits. The needles I use are handcrafted from Tasmanian oak by a local business; Art Viva Knitting.
I knit at home (or anywhere I can) which is in a beautiful
village by the sea in SE Tasmania. I create my knits with
love using merino wool, grown in Tasmania. I love using this
soft wool to create these cosy warm knits that fit snuggly
against your skin.
My vision is to be able to share my knits all over the world to
promote Tasmanian wool and handmade products.
